Shakes:Uju shapes and creates content for diverse print and digital media. She has been a TV screenwriter and script editor for multiple hit Nigerian dramas, broadcast across 47 countries. Her writing and editing credits include Visit London, Time Out (Visitor’s Guides), B3 Media, salon.com, the Guardian, AOL City Guides, Angels & Urchins and more. She’s also dabbled in poetry (IC3, Penguin), film publicity (Bullet Boy) and TV production (The Apprentice Africa). An alumnus mentor with girlswritenow.org, Uju is passionate about helping creative individuals and organisations find their wow factor. Uju was featured mum blogger in BritMums and O2’s viral video for Mother’s Day 2012 (700,000+ views on YouTube) and has made multiple appearances on BBC London radio.

Mothers: a very chatty, bilingual, curly haired 10-year-old Isabelle, and a gorgeous, 5-year-old Olivia.

Shakes: the worlds of education, digital and social media. Mirka used to be an English teacher at a Grammar school and also taught English to foreigners (ESL) in Sydney and London. Since becoming a full-time mum, blogging and social media have rapidly become her biggest passions, and she has been rated as one of the top 20 UK Mummy Blogs on Twitter by Cision. Mirka was a finalist in the 2012 MADS parenting blog awards for the Best Baby Blog, and recently a finalist for the Best Family Travel Blogger 2016 by the Family Traveller magazine. Throughout the past 10 years she has worked with many prestigious brands as their ambassador, digital strategist and social media influencer.

Shakes: spent 20 years in the world of professional magazine journalism, regularly writing for the UK’s top consumer magazines, including The Guardian’s Weekend magazine. More recently she’s been helping high-profile social media clients connect effectively with bloggers, grow their follower numbers, and increase influence across platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. She’s also an award-nominated family blogger, brand ambassador and Instagramoholic.

Mother: to two wonderful little children.  The oldest is a fearless 11 year old girl and the youngest a cuddly 8 year old boy (their profiles will change in minutes).

Shakes: London family-friendly museums, workshops, concerts and anything that might help my kids grow up to be well-rounded adults.  I rock the world of hyper-local-niche-media, helping small, local businesses engage with families.  I am also a primary school teacher who has worked in US and UK independent and state schools.  Don’t get me started talking about education … I won’t stop.  I have written several articles for the Huffington Post, Really Kid Friendly, was the listings editor for Mumsense Magazine, have been interviewed by Robert Elms, Vanessa Feltz and appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire Show.

Nomita is an ex-advertising gal with lots of experience in  brand building, having worked closely with brands like Unilever, Kelloggs and RAC.  Now she’s busy building her own brand through her DIY blog that has been featured in House Beautiful, Country Living, Apartment Therapy, Marie Claire Maison and lots more popular blogs and online publications.
